My favorite day of the week is now Wednesday, and for one reason... The Middle.

If you have not taken the time to watch this gem of a show you need to. There has never been a show that EVERYONE can relate to. I am telling you this little show gives me the pick up I need to finish my week, plus it always makes me laugh. So watch this show on Wednesday and let me know what you think.

Batter's up

Chad and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary on Monday. What a better way to celebrate with a championship softball game. Am I a nice wife or what?

And guess what they won! Happy Anniversary to Us!

pumpkin picking

One of our Halloween traditions {don't you have more than one} is to pick our own pumpkins from a pumpkin patch. Our favorite little spot closed a few years ago and so I have been on the lookout for another perfect pumpkin patch. I am not about spending $8 bucks a person to go to Hee Haw's and see the Worlds Biggest Pig. So we hauled the troop down to the Red Barn in Santaquin.

Some stuff you need

Everyone has those favorites that they love. Here are some of mine.

For those of you who like me find washing and then blowing out your hair just about as bad as going to the dentist this favorite is for you. Dry Shampoo{Sally's Beauty Supply}

All you do is shake the can, spray on your hair, then give your hair a little rub rub and you look like you just washed it. The reason I love this specific one is the price. You can shell out beau coup bucks for dry shampoo, but I am telling you that at $7.00 you won't ever feel guilty for skipping a wash...or two.

These PJs{from Gap} are something I can't live without. It was a sad day when Gavin grew out of them.

They make your little ones look oh so cute. People are always saying that it is stupid to spend so much on something that they sleep in, but Gap has them on clearance online and Old Navy makes them as well for a cheaper price, you also can get them pretty cheap at the outlets. So there is no excuse.

This next one is very random and I didn't realize that it was a favorite until recently I looked in my linen closet and found this...

Pillowcases

Do you ever get sick of your bedroom but can't afford to redecorate, then do what I do, buy new pillow cases. It is a quick change and for only a few dollars you can change up the color scheme in your room. Give it a try you might find that all your room needed was a small change of color.

Seems I could go on and on about my favorites but these are just a few for now, let me know what you think.

the closest you will get me to a farm

Tiff and I took the wee ones to Thanksgiving Point on Monday. When I told Gavin that where we were going he said "Mom, that place stinks. I can't stand it and you can't stand it wither cause you are pregnant" I told him that we were going to tuff it and go see some animals...

Surprisingly, it took Milo clear till the end to warm up to any and all farm animals, he did like the goats at the end.




Gav was all about feeding every animal in that place, he personally saw that every animal got fed, even the chickens.

They both loved the horses, Milo did not want to get off when we were done

Rise and shout

Everyone knows how deep my love for BYU football runs. Most parents would HATE taking there kids for a 3 hour game but for me it is heaven. There is nothing so wonderful as singing the cougar fight song with your 6 and 2 year old. {yes they know the words, while other parents are teaching letters and number I am teaching the fight song} I have to say that I was impressed with how well they did. Gavin only asked to go home once with 2 min left in the game and Milo could not get enough of it, he was taking it in the whole time. It is probably a good thing I only make boys.

Room mother duty #1

So I can't remember if I posted about it or not, but in a moment of what I think complete insanity I signed up to be Room Mother for Gavin's class. So far it hasn't been to trying {room mother tea here, letters to go home there you know stuff like that} and last week I thought was one of the more rewarding things about volunteering...

FIELD TRIP

We went to Hee Haws, and though I got tired of walking through dirt and corn it was fun for Gav and myself to do something together.

No trip to Hee Haw's would be complete with out finding the perfect pumpkin.

I loved how these pumpkins were all lined in a row under the fallen over sunflower.

school carnival

What a better way to show our Grovecrest grizzly pride than attending the school carnival.

I don't know why he enjoyed it but Gavin spent 1/3 of his time in the jail.

Milo and Gavin both got in on the Basketball Competition {the winner got a trophy...rather the kid who spent the most tickets got a trophy. Smart PTA ladies.}

For HATING guns, Chad said I looked a little to serious and in the moment.

And so it begins

Things are going to get busy for Motley Handmade. I just want to give everyone a heads up for the up and coming shows you can spot us at {along with a bunch of other amazing crafters}





This Saturday we will be at the Sundance Harvest Market, it is a free festival that goes all day till 4.





Next on our agenda is Bijou Market on November 7th. Also just another plug that if you haven't applied and you hand make something amazing we want you, so get on it and apply.







Finally for this year is Beehive Bazaar is December 3-5th. I always go intending on buying gifts for others but alas only get gifts for me.

Where have you been all my pregnancies

If you are like me you aren't about to give up style just because you are pregnant. And now you don't have to thanks to Forever 21. These jeans come with an elastic waist band so they are super comfy. And they are less than $20! I was ready to dish out four times that for some maternity skinnies but now I don't have to.

birthday and a bunkbed

Milo turned two a couple weeks ago,

He decided that when you are two you no longer sleep in a crib with or without the side rail off, which has turned nights at the johnasson house into a regular game of musical beds {last night Chad ended up on the couch, Milo was in my bed with me and my rather large maternity pillow, and Gav was in his bed.}

Which brings me to my next project...

Of course putting two boys into one room can only mean one thing... room makeover! I was planning on painting first of course but Milo's new found obsession for "Davin's bed" had caused me to switch my decorating plan {which I hate doing}

So now for the next few days my project will be taking this MTC bunk bed and transforming it hopefully into something amazing. I will keep you posted.

Gavin and the Garden

I would like to announce that Gavin finally caught up with the ice cream man, and it only took all Summer. That was the best $2 Popsicle ever.

Gavin started Kindergarten and just in time too. If I had to go another day with hearing the phrase "When is it time for Kindergarten?" I think I might have had a melt down.

Speaking of which Gavin had a melt down of his own the other day. The independent spirit that he is decided to make some toaster waffles and he said he didn't want any smoke to escape from the toaster so he put a plate on top of the toaster {a plastic plate} this is all that was left of his snack.

P.S.

I posted a while back about my sad little garden, apparently the garden gods took pitty on me , I have since picked over 100 jalapenos and about 40 tomatoes from on plant each. What am I supposed to do with that many jalapenos {and don't say salsa! Everyone says that, and I am officially sick of salsa}

A year ago

I was going through some files and came across pictures of our family at Disney World last year, and some of them made me laugh. Ah, memories-

Does anyone else have pictures like this? Like we could really get a focused picture on the teacups.

Coming out of the timeshare sales pitch we went to so we could get a free day a Disney World. Totally worth it.

I can't wait to see what amazing creativities we will end up with this time around. It seems that every show it gets better better.
