lost and found

Chad got a new laptop and when he brought his old one into retirement at our house I found a treasure of photos, forgot about or never seen. Some of my favs...

Clockwise from the top left:

~Milo helping with the groceries

~ first photo of my three boys

~ the most awesome man I have ever seen walking around Disneyworld

~ Emily and I looking at a location for Bijou Market oh so long ago

~ baby August only seconds on the earth

~ picking apples at Grandpa West's orchard

Nothing like random photos to make my day.

See you tomorrow at Bijou Market!

church

Church is always an experience. Some of my favorite moments from today-

~~While singing Love at Home noticing Milo leading the music with one hand and following along to The First Noel with the other hand.~~
~~After 40 mins of containment watching August go to each aisle, wave and say "ha" {his version of hi}~~
~~Apologizing 12 times to the people behind us for the constant stream of church bag paraphernalia August launched at them. ~~
~~Watching everyone in the ward take turns with their chance to hold August {honestly he may never have to go to Nursery with all the people that ask me if they can take him}~~
~~Realizing that for the first time since I was put in Primary, everything went smoothly today~~
~~Reminding Chad that showing the boys the sliding thumb trick is not reverent~~
~~Realizing that sooner than I think everything mentioned above will only be a distant memory and I will be the one sitting with my husband behind a young family and wish I could do it all over again. ~~

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Inaugural

I am documenting the first ever family reunion for Chads family. It was low key {mutual dell and swimming at Lindon pool} but we had a blast. I meant to take lots of pics but this is all I ended up getting...enjoy!

the candy man can

Need something fun to do, go tour the Sweets Candy Factory. Even if you aren't into the candy, they give you these awesome hair nets.

Even August got one.
Thanks tiff you always
come up with the best ideas.

picnic

My mom always had a way of making ordinary things special, it has always been one of my favorite things about her. I made sure I cataloged it in my brain under " how to be a good mom." I took this one from you darling...

Picnic on the Deck

I don't have patio furniture, but neither did we ever have it growing up, we simply took the kitchen table outside. I opted for a light card table.

Nothing makes dinner more special than table cloth and napkins {no we don't use a table cloth every night}

Chad's burgers and some Limonata make it summer: full force.

It took no extra time and was lots of fun, try it with your family.

splish, splash

The Highland splash park, if you haven't tried it you should {make sure you bring water and an umbrella, there is no shade} My kids really like it, as long as we have buckets for water fights .

Love these swim trunks, doesn't he remind you of someone?

Anything that keeps Milo's attention is good as gold.

coasters, trains and big kid rides oh my

For most people that live in or around PG Strawberry days is a must. Milo wanted to go on every ride regardless of the height limit but had to settle for the dragon roller coaster and the kiddie train.

Gavin {after coaxing him ALL night long} went on a "big kid" ride, I accidentally had the camera set to night shot.

I am adding another chapter into the double trouble book. This is a picture of the carnival worker stopping the ride and coming over to Milo and Dempsey to tell them to sit down.

Signs of Summer?

The weather is starting to let on that summer is here {though the forecast for this weekend looks more like mid November} We have taken every ounce of semi-warm weather to do something spring-y

Starting with the garden, leave it to
plants and new bio-degradable pots to
feel more, earthy, granola & green

There is something very pioneerish
about your baby napping outside in the shade.
Adventureland Park for...
a hot dog roast &
some fishing.
A little contest in casting...
I took second...yes!
We couldn't have a post about summer without this...
You turn on the sprinkler and no one will run through it. Classic!
Turns out it is more fun to just grab the sprinkler and squirt everyone.

2 cousins + 1 towel = cute picture

Some people had so much fun they couldn't stay awake

11.5.10

date night

We went out with my sisters and brother-in-laws... oh yeah and Millie's date. We had a blast!

{if you want a fun and cheap date idea after dinner draw names and go the the dollar store, we have made it a ritual}

if the dollar store isn't your thing you could always go with plan B...

Pictionary anyone?

as you can see we brought the kids along

thanks dalin and elisse for hosting & also for taking Gavin for the night!
